My client, a top international law firm, is actively seeking an experienced Qualified Risk Lawyer to join them on a permanent basis - working as their new Risk Lawyer.
Situated within their highly experienced Risk Management team, you'll be reporting to the Head of Risk and will work closely with the firms Director of Risk on a regular basis.
This position will be focused on general regulatory compliance and will respond to the demands of the business and their focus of the SRA - you'll also be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Reviewing, updating and maintaining the firm's engagement letters and Terms of Business
- Conducting legal research, regularly surrounding the obligations under SRA Standards
- Maintaining all risk related documents, policies and internal risks
- Dealing with risk related queries in pitch documents and supplier questionnaires
- Assisting in a broad range of ad-hoc risk related queries and issues
- Horizon scanning to ensure the firm is able to plan in advance to any new regulatory guidance

To qualify for this new Risk Lawyer opportunity, you'll need to have/be the following:
- Be a Qualified Lawyer (preferably within a large law firm), within Risk/Risk & Compliance
- Have a strong understanding/knowledge of SRA Regulation
- Be practical and able to provide clearly thought out solutions
- Have working knowledge of regulatory issues affecting Solicitors
- Be able to commute to either their London or Liverpool office, 2 days per week
