Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) is one of the UK’s most high-profile event venues, nestled in the unique Victorian Spa town of Harrogate. This uniquely flexible world-leading facility hosts events, conferences, exhibitions and must-see entertainment.
The Role
As one of our Account Sales Managers, you will acquire new business while nurturing a loyal returning customer base. You will be responsible for identifying appropriate conference, exhibition and corporate event sales targets for the venue, and produce accurate and compelling proposals in order to close the sale. You will work externally with potential and current clients, suppliers, industry association and bodies, regionally and nationally. Internally, you will work in harmony with all HCC and NYC (North Yorkshire Council) colleagues specifically in sales, marketing, catering, technical and all other event functions.
What you will bring
You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of sales within an event or hospitality setting and a keen understanding of event booking systems and requests for proposals. Comfortable with CRM database management, you will need strong IT skills that include use of all MS Office packages. Achieving and exceeding deadlines and targets are a must, and like all HCC colleagues you will have a “can do” attitude.
An understanding of the venues current customer base is desirable but not essential.
