Main Duties
Rose Uniacke is seeking an engaging and passionate Sales Associate to work in the showroom from Monday-Friday. This is a client-facing role helping our clients identify and purchase antiques and edition pieces from the Rose Uniacke collection. Sales Associates must oversee the entire sales process, from initial contact to final delivery and follow up, maintaining the high-quality customer service standards of Rose Uniacke’s reputation.
Duties include:
- Selling, invoicing, taking payment, placing orders, and restocking
- Maintaining a logistical overview of orders with the logistics team
- Ensuring products are delivered correctly to clients
- Providing excellent sales service to all clients and potential clients
- Nurturing existing clients and helping to grow the database
- Ascertaining and understanding customers’ requirements and recommending suitable items within the collection
- Notifying relevant members of the team when re-stocking is required
- Keeping up to date with product information and notifying the manager of any product/manufacturing developments or issues
- Ensuring consistently high standards of shop presentation
- Assisting with exhibition performance and set up during key exhibition dates
- Engaging in product and market research, including being aware of the local business and competitors, exhibitions, and new potential sales opportunities
- Working with the team to achieve sales targets
- Opening and closing of the store
Skills and Experience Required
Requirements:
- Interest in furniture and antiques
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong aesthetic eye
- Good at communicating and engaging with new people
- Able to pick up different software quickly
- Right to work in the UK
The ideal candidate should:
- Have some knowledge of design
- Have a strong work ethic
- Be a Mac user
- Microsoft Word/Excel Proficient
- Able to join the team from the end of May 2024
