Our client is a unique and empowering organisation based in Leamington Spa that work to provide the best career platform for young people within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths sectors. Due to continued success, they are now seeking a Sales Coordinator to join their team on a full-time, 3-month Temporary basis. You will be responsible for engaging with schools to generate event day bookings, and then supporting with the coordination of these events. The ideal candidate will have some prior sales, customer service or events experience, coupled with a keen desire to better the lives of young people while working in a rewarding role. Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with suitable schools this may involve researching, cold calling and/or engaging with schools who have previously worked with us.
- Build and maintain relationships with teachers responsible for STEM within their school.
- Understand and communicate to teachers the variety of free Smallpeice Trust activities on offer, this could include STEM days, Think Kits, Arkwright Engineering Scholarships and Student places on the Trust courses.
- Work with the account managers across all your allocated contracts, to ensure all funder requirements are met Eg. initial lists of suitable schools, Progress updates, Liaising with companies and/or STEM ambassadors.
- Maintain the CRM database to keep a record of calls made and emails sent and update details of confirmed bookings and orders.
- Competently handle inbound enquiries.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Experience of working in a Sales role is essential.
- Experience of cold calling.
- Demonstratable experience of building rapport and relationships.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships over the phone.
- Microsoft Office knowledge, especially in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- GCSE grade C or above (4+) in English and Maths.
- Experience of databases, preferably a CRM system.
- Good command of English language – written and spoken.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Additional information:
- Working Hours are 8:30 am- 4:30 pm Monday-Friday (37.5 hours) 1 Hour lunch break, Some remote working available.
