THE ROLE
We are looking to recruit a Sales Executive tojoin our busy, friendly team. The team handle sales of all UK and France residential trips forSchools. Each Sales Executive is responsible for maximising profitable revenuewithin a given geographic territory.
The role is full time 37.5 hrs per week, with options to work flexibly. Full time, and full time term time are available, as well as permanent and fixed-term contracts. Occasional visits to Centres are expected, with overnight stays and time off given in lieu.
Key duties include:
- Effectively managesales leads from new and existing PGL clients
- Proactively contact and manage relationships with all groups who have enquired or previously travelled with PGL
- Maintain accurate records of each enquiry/booking using the computer-based systems
- Meet Key Performance Indicators to ensure that individual performance target is met
- Meet individual monthly and annual performance targets for bookings and revenue
- Contribute to departmental monthly and annual performance targets for revenue and bookings
- Use sales techniques effectively to overcome hurdles and objections in closing sales
- Work closely with reservation teams to ensure clear communication during enquiry and booking process, using CRM and Res systems (as appropriate) to accurately log customers’ needs
- Explore the sales opportunities within your assigned LEAs in order to maximise bookings from both existing and potential customers
- Manage Bookings from point of sale to confirmation to ensure the highest possible conversion rate from enquiry to booking
- Supply customers with all the information they require regarding their prospective trip in a timely manner
- Handle telephone calls and correspondence for schools and group bookings
- Ensure payments are collected in a timely manner by proactively chasing payments and working closely with the reservations teams to send invoices etc.
- Help teachers to overcome issues as they launch their trip to ensure that the maximum number of trips go ahead
- Maintain accurate records of each booking
IS THIS YOU?
- Confidence – must have the ability to listen to customers and proactively seek to meet their needs
- Strong personal organisation skills – ability and experience of effectively prioritising workloads and multi-tasking in a busy open-plan office environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a confident and polite telephone manner
- Computer literate with experience of Excel
- Keen attention to detail
- The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team, adhering to strict deadlines
- Experience of dealing with customers via telephone and email
