SEN Case Admin Support Officer
We are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Case Admin Support Officer to join our team on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, Children's and Families Act 2014 , and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) regulations. You will play an important role in supporting the director in helping children and families navigate the EHCP process.
Roles and Resposibilities
- Supporting the director with a caseload of SEN cases, ensuring that each case is assessed, monitored, and reviewed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SEN legislation, including the Code of Practice, Children's and Families Act, and SEND regulations, and ensure that all cases are managed in compliance with these regulations.
- Act as an advocate for children with SEN, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are adequately addressed.
- Work proactively with the company director to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the assessment and planning process.
- Reviewing reports and making representations on findings.
Requirements
- A comprehensive understanding of the Code of Practice, Children's and Families Act, and SEND regulations.
- Previous experience as a SEN Case Manager at a Local Authority, Teacher or in a similar role within the field of special education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills.
- A relevant career in education, social work, or a related field is desirable.
- Professional qualifications related to SEN case management will be advantageous.
