We are currently working on behalf of a client in Central Manchester who is looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join their finance team on an on-going contract basis. The contract is expected to last until at least December 2024 but likely longer. They are looking for someone ideally qualified or a way through their studies, who is available to start a new role from January 2024. If you have used Dynamics365 that is a bonus and any experience of cost inventory accounting would be highly regarded but not essential. Experience of running accounts to trial balance is essential and any tax knowledge you may have will be beneficial.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
• Responsible for the General ledger accounting processes - accruals, prepayments, review of automated batch postings.
• Review the P&L account accuracy at each reporting point
• Post the monthly payroll journal and prepare Payroll related payments
• Review and maintain a detailed and accurate balance sheet reconciliation
• Prepare and submit VAT Returns, EC Sales lists, Intrastats
• Report and Submit Other Tax or Regulatory requirements
• Prepare appropriate schedules for Year End Audit
• Assist in preparation of Annual Company Corporate Tax Returns
