We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Senior Accountant to join our growing Operational Finance Team, and lead our Manufacturing Finance agenda supporting our 7 manufacturing sites across Alfreton, Ilkeston, Mansfield, Selby, and Liverpool. This role is an integral senior lead within our Operational Finance Team, who are responsible for all aspects of financial and management reporting for our Groups Operations functions; comprising of Planning, Production, Recycling and Logistics business areas.
The role reports directly to the Head of Operational Finance, and will be a strategic business partner to the Groups Chief Operating Officer (C.O.O.) and the Operations Leadership Team.
WHAT DO OUR SENIOR ACCOUNTANTS DO?:
- Act as a strategic business partner to the C.O.O. and Operations Leadership Team
- Identify and analyse risks and opportunities to achieve annual business unit targets
- Conduct financial appraisals and corresponding cost tracking of strategic initiatives
- Lead, manage and support team of Management Accountants
- Develop a strong understanding of all areas of Operations, and become a key contact and conduit for the Operational Team
- Support and review throughout all areas of the accounting process for manufacturing, to include Month end reporting, performance analysis, financial forecasts, annual budgets
WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
- CIMA / ACCA qualified accountant with strong academic qualifications
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment, and managing a team
- Ability to engage and communicate on all levels, translating operational opportunities and issues into financial outputs
- A proactive and positive approach
- A problem solver, which is able to approach issues using own initiative
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising and managing workloads as per business need
- SAP system experience beneficial, particularly production and financial modules
- Full UK drivers license
