We're Mensis Accountants, and we're looking for a skilled Senior Accounts Assistant to join our close-knit hybrid/Gloucestershire-based team.
If you have a passion for numbers and love the satisfaction of helping small businesses thrive, this is the perfect change of pace for you.
What you'll do as our new Senior Accounts Assistant:
- Take ownership of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Guide and mentor our Accounts Assistants
- Collaborate with our tax and payroll team
- Build strong client relationships...and enjoy the occasional client meeting over a proper cup of tea!
The ideal fit:
- Ideally, you've got solid UK accountancy practice experience
- You're a whiz with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage
- VAT returns are a breeze for you
- CIS returns are familiar for you and you’re happy to learn more about them
- You're all about accuracy, proactive problem-solving, and meeting deadlines
- You’re a friendly face to have as part of our team
The perks:
- Competitive salary: £27,000 - £30,000 based on experience

- Flexibility to work from home and the office (once or twice a week in the office, more if you fancy)
- Early finish on a Friday and full-time (34 hours per week)
