You'll be based at our modern Endeavour House offices in Ipswich.
We are looking for someone who would thrive in a varied and rewarding position supporting our work across Suffolk. You'll get to work with a team focused on having a real impact on local young people's well-being and future prospects. If you are motivated to use your administrative talents to benefit children and families in your county, then we would love to hear from you.
Your role and responsibilities

- providing ongoing communication between the team and providers
- establishing appropriate respite and negotiating bespoke packages with providers
- securing invoices from providers, monitoring spend, and undertaking financial tasks as required to support the project.
You'll be negotiating and facilitating with a range of providers to provide meaningful activities for children and young people to build their confidence and form new friendships. You will enable the development of coping strategies and re-engagement with school. You will also provide ongoing communication between families, schools, and respite providers ensuring focus on school re-engagement.
You will work with a team that is committed and passionate about supporting children and young people to re-engage with school and supporting their families to achieve this aim. The team will provide a collaborative and positive environment that will enable the successful applicant to contribute to the well-being of families under strain.
If you are excited at the thought of being part of a fresh and innovative new team, then this role will suit you.
You will need
- excellent communication skills
- the ability to work methodically but multi-task where required
- organisational skills with a focus on prioritising and meeting deadlines
- an eye for detail.
You can view a full list of requirements in the Job and Person Profile (docx). If you believe you can succeed in this role, apply. Even if you don't meet all requirements, still apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.
The team
We work alongside services within Inclusion to identify children and young people whose attendance is affected by barriers caused by Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Once identified the team will seek to work with schools and settings to facilitate opportunities for these children and young people to engage in community and interesting activities to lead to improved attendance in education.
