About the Opportunity
Jacobs is committed to playing a leadership role in Global Energy Transition. Our UK and Continental Europe team is growing and we're looking for a Technical Lead in HV Transmission Design to help provide support to projects across Jacobs' markets .
Our Power and Energy team provides a range of services to our transmission and distribution clients. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems. We require the support of an experienced technical professional who can be proficient in high voltage transmission design; such as substations, cables and/or overhead lines.

Here's What You'll Need:
  • Chartered Engineer through the IET
  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience
  • Track record of leading teams in the delivery of Front-End Engineering and design or Detailed design of EHV
  • Experience of working for a client organisation such as transmission system owner/operator, distribution network operator or a design consultancy delivering to such organisation.
  • TP141 or equivalent authorised or ability to do so.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain existing and develop new client relationships.
  • Experience in coaching and developing junior engineers.
