Our TeamOur Portfolio performance team supports the provision of reports by using their expert knowledge of Credit Risk, inherent risks, internal and external influencing factors to make recommendations on strategies and policies.
What you'll be doing
- Working collaboratively with Credit Risk, Commercial, Finance and Operational colleagues to identify improvements that maintain regulatory compliance, improve efficiency, or provides additional value to the business.
- Supporting the development of a comprehensive suite of Credit Risk portfolio insights and offering your oversight, expertise and opinion for use across a range of stakeholders including central committees and governance reporting.
- Providing support to Credit Risk Managers with meaningful analysis and make recommendations for Senior Management.
- Building and managing relationships across the Risk Function to ensure that best practice is shared, challenges are raised in a timely manner to constructively shape outcomes.
- Making sure our internal governance frameworks, policies and regulatory guidelines are embedded in the business in order to enable us to adopt sound risk practices.
- Working with the Credit Risk Managers to support stakeholder management processes in order to deliver effectively for our internal customers including engaging at an operational level to ensure effective operation of key processes.
- Delivering first class customer service, including implementing continuously improvement and rationalisation processes to increase efficiency.
We need you to have
- Product specific experience or equivalent.
- Experience within data mining, manipulation, and summarisation (SAS, SQL, Excel, Powerpoint etc).
- The ability to condense, simplify and share complex information with team members.
- Capability to operate effectively with senior leaders and deal with any challenges.
- An ability to support multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment, with experience in prioritising effectively to manage various expectations.
- Confidence to raise new ideas or insights to ultimately influence the business focus.
- Clear understanding of what "looks right" and can accurately review/error check their own and others analysis.
- Good Credit Risk knowledge and Business Banking experience.
- An ability to build strong networks and relationships with internal stakeholders.
It's a bonus if you have but not essential
- Understanding of data structure and Credit Risk strategies.
- Knowledge of the Legal and Regulatory framework.
