In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.
The purpose of this role is to for establishing and managing an external supply plan that satisfies the Material Requirements Plan (MRP), direct customer orders and stock policy targets. To test the feasibility of the plan, by performing detailed capacity planning and resolving
imbalances.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Leading and mentor the material planning team
Coordinating with various teams to ensure timely and efficient production.
Implementing strategic plans to improve material availability and reduce stock shortages.
Providing team leadership and fostering a positive work environment.
Monitoring market trends to predict potential disruptions in the supply chain.
Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the department

Job requirements

An in depth understanding of the workings of an ERP system and demonstrable previous
experience of working of an ERP System particularly material scheduling
Production or material scheduling and inventory management experience in fast paced, high volume industry
Risk management experience including the reduction and assessment of risks
Competent Microsoft user inc Word, Excel, PowerPoint
