Job Description
We're recruiting for a Reconciliation Specialist to join our Retail functions.
The role holder is responsible for the daily oversight of the reconciliation process for customer assets, including cash and investments held by Workplace Pension customers, to ensure these assets are safeguarded in accordance with regulations. What you'll be doing:
- A finance role involves utilizing reconciliation software to maintain a robust control environment. This includes managing the daily data upload into the application and ensuring that reconciliations are completed and signed off by the end of each business day
- Investigate any reconciliation discrepancies, collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure remediation is undertaken in a timely and accurate manner to support the reduction in financial risk
- Collaborate with your colleagues and put your colleagues, customers, and clients at the heart of everything we do
- Ensure the maintenance of MI and other necessary data to provide a solid audit trail and continuous regulatory compliance
- When things go awry, it's crucial to rectify the situation, investigate the cause, and implement measures to prevent recurrence. Documenting the incident, recognizing patterns, and disseminating your discoveries, solutions, and rationale with your colleagues are all important steps in this process
- Take responsibility for your own development and ensure that you keep your pension knowledge and industry awareness current and relevant
Who we're looking for:
- GCSE Maths, minimum grade C or equivalent
- Strong excel skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of L&G's products.
- Understanding of methods of reconciliations and data analysis
- Can work independently and as part of a team, well-motivated, and show an appetite for self-development
- Excellent numeracy, investigation, and problem-solving skills
