In this pivotal role, as a Senior Financial Accountant, you will support on critical projects and make significant contributions to the success of our financial reporting team, especially during the year-end season. Responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Accountant at PIB Group, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing several key projects within the financial reporting team.
- Collaborating on the review of foreign exchange accounting across the Group.
- Working closely with the external audit team during year-end responsibilities and control environment assessments.
- Contributing to the production of the monthly Group Consolidation.
- Preparing and reviewing technical papers for the year-end audit.
- Ensuring the Group's acquisition accounting adheres to IFRS 3 standards.
- Preparing and reviewing the Group's financial statements and supporting notes.
- Reviewing the financial statements of the Group's UK subsidiary companies.
- Providing support to local and international financial teams for accounting queries.
- Assisting the Process & Controls Manager in overseeing the close manager process and meeting flash deadlines.
- Collaborating on the planned OneStream system implementation, including testing and process documentation.
- Working collaboratively with the Financial Control management team to deliver a comprehensive business service.
Experience:
- Qualified CCAB, ACCA, or ACA.
- Extensive experience in a central finance function with international elements.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering monthly financial information.
- Group finance experience within a complex group, preferably in the financial services industry (desirable).
- Experience operating across multiple financial service/group requirements.
- Proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite.
- Foreign language skills at a conversational level (desirable).
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A positive, collaborative, and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
