Role Overview

The Senior Commercial Marketing Executive sits within the Commercial marketing team and will be involved with delivering outputs for some of the Savills Commercial business divisions, guiding them to help drive brand awareness and client engagement. You will work closely with the multi-channel central marketing functions to deliver these outputs to the highest standard. You will influence and support the divisions being responsible for planning and implementation of bespoke marketing initiatives that aim to drive business growth, drive brand awareness and build brand preference in their target market. With the support of the Commercial Marketing Directors, you will ensure the cascade of the national marketing strategy into divisional plans and develop marketing initiatives which pursue the objective of the brand in new and interesting ways.
The team are friendly, driven and innovative, and work across multiple projects and campaigns at once to champion high quality marketing outputs and drive positive results for the business. This role is suited to an individual who is commercially astute and passionate about marketing as a discipline, and the value that it can deliver for a business. The role will be key in supporting strategic planning and project management for the division. This role gives the successful applicant a real opportunity to own and deliver marketing projects for some of the key growth drivers within Savills UK, with high levels of personal autonomy and stakeholder profile.
The Commercial division within Savills is the B2B facing part of the UK business and comprises 15 divisions and 12 working groups which provide a range of services spanning capital markets, commercial agency, property management, professional services, development services and housing. The clients we serve are a diverse range of organisations of varying sizes, from major corporates to landowners, property developers and family offices.


Key Responsibilities


Day-to-day responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
  • Supports in the delivery of campaigns and activities within divisional and sector group marketing plans, that meet the objectives of both the divisional and UK marketing strategy.
  • Is a key point of operational contact within the marketing function and responds to the day to day queries from divisions, troubleshooting where necessary.
  • Project manages the production and promotion of content across the commercial divisions and channels.
  • Works closely with the relevant marketing team members and centres of excellent to deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns for each division including, but not limited to, content, collateral, events, digital and print advertising, social media.
  • Builds positive relationships with stakeholders; communicating plans, challenges, developments, opportunities, actions and results with them.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports and marketing presentations for the business including project overviews, distribution plans and campaign performance, using these insights to promote efficiency and effect change where appropriate
  • Contributes to brand integrity across divisions, working with wider marketing to colleagues to ensure that all creative communications meet brand guidelines
  • Represents the marketing team and provides relevant marketing project updates to stakeholders at regular internal business meetings.
  • Manages and tracks budgets and spend for relevant projects and programmes.

Key Skills

Who you are is more important than where you have previously worked – you don’t need a background in property (but you should be interested in the industry). This is a hands-on role and requires somebody who is willing to support the team with multiple projects and deliverables at once, and lead on their own projects too.
We are looking for somebody with a ‘can-do’ attitude, an appreciation of high quality deliverables and a structured way of working to keep on top of multiple requests. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, pay close attention to detail, and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Building strong working relationships across the business and with marketing colleagues will be crucial for success in the role.
Technical Experience
  • Knowledge and experience of using the full Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • A qualification in marketing is desirable, but not necessary.

Skills and Knowledge
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar full-time marketing role and an understanding of marketing as a discipline
  • Experience across the marketing mix, including traditional and digital channels
  • Professional and mature working attitude
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • An excellent eye for detail and good proof-reading skills
  • Experience in creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Highly organised with the ability to use own initiative to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Prioritisation and delegation are key to manage multiple content outputs at once
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills. Able to prepare reporting information in Excel and PowerPoint, and tell the story of what the data is showing us
  • Ability to form successful working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external agencies where appropriate across the group
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a team player
  • Willing to put forward and advance new ideas to improve our marketing approaches
  • Commercially astute with an interest in business and the property markets

You will be based out of our head office at Margaret Street in London, for a minimum of three days per week. You will be empowered to balance your time effectively based on your stakeholder needs and the business objectives.
