the role:

 

itsu [groceryis looking for a Senior Marketing Innovation Manager to join the marketing team, reporting into the Marketing Director. With innovation and product at the heart of itsu [grocery],  this is an exciting new role within the business which will work with multiple senior stakeholders to help drive successful innovation and business growth through EPD and NPD launches.

 

 

responsibilities: 

 

  • NPD/EPD strategy: Support the Product Directors in defining range and product strategy. Contribute to defining launch rationale [ flavours, mix,   positioning, target consumers, consumer usage] for all NPD/EPD. Work closely with Revenue Growth Manager to determine size of prize, RRPs, promo strategies &  target retailers  to pull together robust NPD/EPD P&Ls. Work with Brand & Marketing Directors to determine marketing launch classification [gold, silver, bronze]. All information to be  fed into internal Gate process

 

  • Monitor and report on product performance [1 year post NPD launch and 3 months post EPD launch]. Work closely with Senior Marketing Managers, listening to their business insights and performance updates & work with them to make recommendations on product changes or optimisation where required

 

  • Consumer insight & market research: Responsible for all market research [consumer, category, competitors, customer feedback] for all EPD/NPD . 

 

  • Brand protection: Responsible for itsu [grocery]’s trademark and design protection strategy [working with external legal teams]

 

  • Go to Market: Sign off final artworks for all NPD/EPD, ensuring consistency & accuracy & that the offering makes sense to the consumer [product description, serving suggestions, nutritionals, cooking instructions]. Work closely with the brand and marketing team to ensure NPD/EPD is executed seamlessly ahead of launch [ product naming, online execution, essential assets ready]. Ensure the marketing team is fully briefed on product rationale/ launches so they can pull together compelling retailer sell ins

 

you:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years FMCG experience in bringing products to market either in a development, category, sales or marketing role.  In particular, experience defining product or range strategies including commercials and experience in market research. 
  • Can successfully manage multiple stakeholders & can express your thoughts and ideas clearly
  • Are a good listener & team player, taking on feedback and information from the team to inform and build on your ideas
  • Are commercial & analytical. Are proficient on Excel and have experience conducting and analysing market data and reserach
  • Are ambitious, intelligent, hard-working and a self-starter with a can- do attitude
  • Are passionate about itsu and our products & want to grow with the company.
