Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapy
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapy role.
The vacancy is a Full Time post covering the South East and North East Locality Teams.
The postholder will be required to contribute to the effective management of the team undertaking a range of duties which will include :
- Providing professional support and supervision to Occupational Therapists within the SE Locality Teams
- Ensuring high quality standards of professional practice and performance in service delivery, driving forward the delivery of strength based models of practice, maximising the use of service users individual strengths, and that of their support networks, community resources and universal services
- Contribute to the management of the team and the overall delivery of Occupational Therapy services, taking a key role in overseeing Occupational Therapy practice within the team. Support the Team Manager in ensuring the operational effectiveness of the team, allocating and prioritising workloads, supervising the correct recording and throughput of cases and taking responsibility for ensuring all cases are safely managed.
- Manage all clinical and professional aspects of complex casework for all age groups, where appropriate, promote independence ensuring evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention, planning and reviewing/evaluation skills, and ensuring they establish the appropriate level of personal budget in order to meet eligible care and support needs
- Provide a high quality resource of professional advice, guidance and expertise, including case supervision, case conferences and audits for staff in the team and professionals from partner agencies to help ensure the delivery of a high standard of service.
The successful candidate must be a qualified Occupational Therapist.
