Job Duties:The main purpose of this role will be to support the Senior Transactional Procurement Manager to develop and maintain a coordinated approach towards procurement and contract management within the business, seeking value for money, relationship and performance management of suppliers and, offering advice on all of the transactional purchasing and contract activity.
As part of this highly varied role, you will be responsible for supplier management, monitoring performance and ensuring continuous improvements, as well as for the management of a range of corporate contracts and contract databases.
You will also play an active role in driving customer service, including assisting with the development of effective communication with customers to ensure effective management of spend including agreement of annual work plans, spend targets and performance improvements.
Required Experience/ Qualifications:- Experience of working autonomously in a busy office environment
- Two years NHS or wider public sector experience
- Worked within a procurement environment with responsibility for procurement and sourcing
- Experience of line management
- CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply or a commitment to work towards it
- Delivered procurements in Find a TenderWorked with Procurement Systems and e-solutions, e.g. EU Supply, Oracle
- Working understanding and knowledge of relevant Public Sector Procurement Regulations 2015 and Procurement, Patient Choice, and Competition 2013 Regulations
