Senior Transactional Procurement Officer

We are working to recruit a Senior Transactional Procurement Officer to work within the NHS in Derby!

Salary: £28,407.00 per annum  

*may be negotiable dependent on experience 

This is a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• To Support the Senior Transactional Procurement Manager to develop and maintain a coordinated approach towards procurement and contract management.
• Supplier management including the establishment and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators, to manage performance and continuous performance improvements, management of savings targets, contractual spend targets and individual customer specific targets.
• Play an active role in driving customer service including assisting the development of effective communication with customers to ensure effective management of spend including agreement of annual workplans, spend targets and performance improvements.
• Internal management of the Oracle e-procurement system including supplier rationalisation and spend categorisation.
• Undertake complex and detailed information analysis of spend data and specific projects/reports requiring high levels of concentration.

Essential:

• Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
• Minimum of two years NHS or wider public sector experience
• An understanding of the National NHS agenda and procurement management
• Procurement and sourcing responsibility for delivering procurement projects
