Salary: GBP28,407
Derby - Hybrid and will be required to come to the office at least one day a month if required
Job Description:
Join our dynamic team as a Procurement Officer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Transactional Procurement Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the development and maintenance of a well-coordinated approach to procurement and contract management. This involves actively seeking value for money, managing relationships and performance with suppliers, and providing expert advice on all aspects of transactional purchasing and contract activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Transactional Procurement Manager to ensure a streamlined approach to procurement and contract management.
- Independently manage responsibilities within a busy office environment.
- Utilize your two years of experience in the NHS or wider public sector to contribute valuable insights.
- Demonstrate expertise in procurement environments, including procurement and sourcing responsibilities for successful project delivery.
- Showcase experience in line management, emphasizing leadership skills.
- Successfully deliver procurements through platforms such as Find a Tender.
- Work with Procurement Systems and E-solutions, including EU Supply and Oracle.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and other CSU departments.
- Proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- IT skills to develop reports, documents, and spreadsheets, with the ability to present information to a high standard.
- Independent work initiative and effective organization of workload with minimal supervision, meeting tight and challenging deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to unexpected demands.
- Excellent time management skills, with the capacity to reprioritize effectively.
- Proficient in supporting project management.
