This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Transactional Procurement Officer to join the hard working NHS team in Derby, UK.

Job Title: Senior Transactional Procurement Officer

Location: Derby, DE1 3QT.

Salary: Band 5 - GBP28,407 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700 Toal of 37.5 hours per week

Hybrid working , will be required to attend office at least once a month

Job Description:

As our Senior Transactional Procurement Officer, you will be supporting the Senior Transactional Procurement Manager to develop and maintain a coordinated approach towards procurement and contract management. Responsible for supporting the procurement team in ensuring value for money and delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Requirements:

• Experience of working autonomously in a busy office environment
• Two years NHS or wider public sector experience
• Worked within a procurement environment.
• Procurement and sourcing responsibility for delivering procurement projects
• Experience of line management

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep up-to-date with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Supplier management includes the establishment and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators, to manage performance and continuous performance improvements, management of savings targets, contractual spend targets and individual customer specific targets.
• Play an active role in driving customer service including assisting the development of effective communication with ICB customers to ensure effective management of ICB spend including agreement of annual workplans, spend targets and performance improvements.
• Management of a range of corporate contracts including but not limited to, IT, Telecoms, Travel, FM, Agency, Capital
• Management of Contracts Database including details of all contracts, contractual documentation and linking into the annual rolling workplan
• Internal management of the Oracle e-procurement systems and managing the procurement relationship with NHS Shared Business Services
• Provide procurement advice to internal stakeholder and customers
