Procurement Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to work within the NHS transactional procurement team, for a hybrid role based out of Derby. The full job title will be Senior Transactional Procurement Officer and you will play a vital part in supporting senior procurement managers, to develop and maintain procurement and contract management.  
Main duties within this role are as follows:

• The set up, development and management of supplier contracts 
• Supplier management - establishing, monitoring and logging KPIs
• Management of contractual spend targets
• Management of a variety of supplier contracts, including IT, Telecoms, Travel, Facilities Management, Agency, Capital 
• Management of contract database and internal procurement systems (Oracle)
• Keeping up to date with procurement legislation internally and externally
• To be on hand to speak with internal stakeholders and customers regarding procurement

The ideal candidate will have all of the following attributes

• Experience working within procurement teams within the public sector, for a minimum of 2 years
• A strong ability to handle contract management, along with set up procedures and development
• A strong communicator that is able to effectively deal with suppliers, customers and stakeholders 
• Is able to work to deadlines and prioritise work load accordingly
• Has experience dealing with high value contracts
• Well versed in data analysis 

The package

• £28,407 per annum
• 35 days holiday (including bank holidays), rising with service to a maximum of 41 days
