Our client is seeking a Programme Manager to lead a change programme, ensuring it achieves its benefits and change objectives and is delivered in line with programme management best practices. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in programme management and the ability to influence organisational strategy by delivering change programmes that align with strategic objectives.
Day to Day of the role:
- Define and facilitate the identification of programme vision, scope, expected outcomes, success criteria, and benefits realisation with stakeholders.
- Lead the programme team and champion the programme vision.
- Work with the sponsor to define and deliver a benefits-led approach, including benefits mapping, measurement, and tracking.
- Establish the programme organisation, team structure, governance approach, and assurance activities.
- Lead the programme through the investment case approval process, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
- Manage change strategies and plans to enable change at a suitable pace and sequence.
- Create and maintain detailed programme plans in consultation with cross-functional teams.
- Lead the identification of objectives, dependencies, and interrelationships, and manage design and delivery to maintain alignment.
- Produce high-quality management information, including forecasts and establish a risk management framework.
- Ensure high-quality internal and external audit of the programme.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A recognised programme management qualification (e.g., Management of Successful Programmes) with demonstrable career development.
- Substantial experience in project and programme management, having managed at least two programmes.
- In-depth knowledge of programme management principles and concepts with a focus on practical results.
- Sound financial knowledge, including cost versus benefit analysis and forecasting.
- Ability to deal with complexity, ambiguity, and changes in business focus.
- Strong persuasion, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- A recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner or APMP/PQ level).
- Experience managing programmes with significant duration and budget.
- Experience in media or property/facilities management environments.
- An enquiring mind and a record of delivering innovation.
- Appreciation of changing technology and working practices in the media industry.
