Each year, Young Enterprise helps thousands of young people develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. Through our nationwide enterprise and financial capability programmes, we give young people the opportunities and experiences to discover who they are and what they’re good at.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving, youth focused, charity and play a pivotal role across a range programmes designed to support educators with the delivery of financial and enterprise education to support young people to be able to learn to earn and manage their money.

We are looking for an experienced, creative and proactive individual to join Young Enterprise as Senior Programme Manager within the Programmes and Services team.

About the role

The Senior Programme Manager is responsible for leading a small team of Programme Managers to ensure that a range of national programmes are delivered in line with robust project plans, achieve their aims and outcomes and operate within defined budgets.  

The Senior Programme Manager provides support and guidance to the team to ensure programmes are up to date and relevant, are delivered smoothly, provide maximum impact and continue to develop to best meet the needs of educators and they young people they work with

The Senior Programme Manager is responsible for ensuring that the programmes in their remit embed ongoing learning and reflection, and are contributing to YE’s organisational strategy and Theory of Change.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to bring fresh ideas and a different perspective as we continue to evolve our programmes to provide educators and young people with the best possible experience.

Reporting to the Head of Programmes and Services, this role is part of the Senior Strategy Group actively contributing to cross functional working and provides a high level of education sector expertise to support the ongoing development of current programmes as well as new initiatives.

We are looking for

  •  Excellent project management and planning skills to ensure effective use of resources and budget
  • A solution focussed attitude to problem solving
  • The ability to balance and prioritise competing demands in a busy function.
  • A successful track record of building strong internal and external relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience of providing effective line management, supervision, encouragement and support
  • An understanding of education and school centred programmes
  • A passion for financial and enterprise education, and supporting educators to build their knowledge, confidence and skills to effectively deliver to children and young people

This is a hybrid role, working out of our London or Oxford office a minimum of 4 times per month.
