The Role
It is an exciting time to be a "Starrezian" with growth being achieved through expanding our core business in addition to mergers & acquisitions, we are looking for Senior Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team!
You have an uncanny knack for problem solving and you have a sharp product mindset. Our engineers are involved in all aspects of the software design process and create high-performing, scalable, and secure products.
You should also know that we are not limited to any Tech Stack, so all tech expertise is welcome to apply.
Role Specifics
- Work Location: Remote, UK
What You Will Own
- Development, maintenance and support of a C# ASP.NET | Open-source web framework for .NET web application.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and other stakeholders internationally to meet customers’ needs.
- Contribute to code reviews and automated testing
- Participate in daily stand-up and regular refinement and planning meetings as part of a team-based, agile/scrum environment
- Work autonomously and pair up with team members when appropriate
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a developer
- Experience with the following technology:
- .NET framework 4.6+ / .NET 6+
- Microsoft Visual Studio/C#/ASP.NET | Open-source web framework for .NET
- Web technologies – MVC, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS
- SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related areas of study
- The ability to explain concepts and mentor junior developers
- Additional Technologies: Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Git
- Experience working on a monolithic system
- Experience documenting solutions
- Passionate about product and shipping value to customers
- Strong systems thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently when required
- Ability to prioritise and escalate
- Experience with database design and development
- Passionate about modernising and continuously improving a large codebase
