SalaryOur client based in County Durham are looking for experienced Service and Repair Engineers to join their team. This can be either on a contract or permanent basis depending on the candidate
Job description:
- Service, Maintenance and/or repair of domestic boilers, fires and cookers to associated domestic appliances on domestic sites.
- Works are predominantly within the North East, North Yorkshire and Northumberland region although works outside this area may be required.
- Basic electrical knowledge, and any knowledge of other building services trades such as oil, LPG and/or air conditioning would be preferred but not essential.
Skills required:
- Must have a strong background in domestic gas service maintenance/repair;
- Must have experience of and/or a willingness to learn the commercial side and/or other trades such as oil/LPG/air conditioning;
- Must be able to work well alone as well as part of a team;
- Must have excellent communication skills; be punctual, reliable and professional;
- Must be willing to embrace ongoing change and improvement of business as we look to ever improve our services that we offer.
- General IT skills, the candidate will be required to complete documentation related to work activities, which may include the use of an iPad.
- Ideal candidates will have experience in domestic Service & maintenance/breakdown engineer with a great work ethic 'can do' attitude and desire to learn more about the commercial side. Essential system controls, electrics, and basic heating wiring knowledge and good IT skills able to work from Smart Phones & Ipads.
Qualifications:
- Licence/Certification: Certificate of competence, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Clean Driving License, Right to Work, Basic DBS.
- Desired but not essential: Plumbing and Heating NVQ level 2 & 3, Asbestos Awareness, Face Fit & CSCS Card.
- Must have own Hand tools and basic plant/equipment to carrying out servicing and Repairs. (Analysers only will be provided)
- Must have a full UK Driving license.
Working Hours & Benefits:
08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday 8 hours per day ½ unpaid lunch break 40 hours per week standard + overtime/call-out rota Package: In the region of £33,000 per annum base salary (dependent on experience and qualifications); Possibilities of overtime will be on an agreed basis when the works require such a time. You will be required to go in the call out Rota, 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, company pension, company van and fuel card for business use only.
