The service you will work in….Our service is a challenging but rewarding, all male supported accommodation service for individuals with a history of Substance Abuse and Offending background.Latch House is a 24 hour,15 bed male-only hostel supporting a cohort of service users who have a Lambeth connection. Latch house sits within the Lambeth Vulnerable Adult Pathway and forms part of Hestia's Criminal Justice Services. A day in this role looks like….As the Service Manager at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Criminal Justice Service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:To lead the running and strategic development of the whole service.Lead the development, implementat
ion and maintenance of partnerships and engagement strategies.To line manage, lead, motivate and support the integrated team, providing effective and inspiring leadership, management and support too all staff in Latch House.To develop joint working and monitoring protocols with key stakeholders and partners for all parts of the service.To manage all elements of service performance related to the contract requirements including analysis of KPIs, outcomes and user experience measures.To ensure the continuous delivery of a high-quality service by ensuring that referrals, assessments, and safety and support planning procedures operate effectively, and that records accurately reflect the work being undertaken.To lead on the timely and accurate submission of all internal and external reports detailing interim strategies to address any areas of underperformance in line with contract requirements.To lead on the development and implementation the service's annual Business Plans and Equality plans.Lead on the development and implementation of the co-production strategy.To ensure that the service achieves the agreed standards of service delivery in compliance with relevant legislation, external governance, contract requirements and Hestia policies and procedures.To undertake disciplinary and grievance investigations and to chair hearings using the organisations procedures when required.To work with all service users to enable them to work alongside staff as partners in the delivery of services and to co-produce the service with a focus on users' strengths, assets and aspirations.To define the relationship between service users and staff as one of mutuality and reciprocity, rather than of dependency.Joining Hestia means more than just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger. To excel in this role, you should possess:Demonstrable experience of managing accommodation based support services for people with multiple and complex needs.A strong understanding of Recovery approaches and co-production.Demonstrable experience of managing a team within a service supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs.Knowledge of issues affecting those individuals with a range of risks and support needs.Demonstrable experience of recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training, discipline and grievance issues, performance monitoring and delivering consistently high delivery standards and service user standards., managing and keeping complex budgets.Excellent knowledge of Community Care, Criminal Justice and Homelessness Pathways, Health and Safety and welfare benefits legislation (including welfare reform).Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing and auditing service users' support and safety assessment plans.Good knowledge of MS Office systems and able to use computer systems including case management systems , ability to write & interpret complex reports.Knowledge and demonstrable experience of housing pathways, housing legislation and housing management experience including income collection from personal service charges and Housing Benefit.Ability to work flexibly including limited out of hours working during the evening, weekends / bank holidays to scrutinise the delivery of Latch House.Able to complete and record accurate financial transactions and budget management experience.Our commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
