Our Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Services Business Manager to work as the Head of Services within our Training and Simulation UK business. This business delivers training across air, land and sea and is the leading provider of land training services across Europe. We have an exciting future ahead as we pursue growth from our heritage business, as well as newer, digital offerings.
Your role will include a dynamic blend of responsibilities, leading the operational services portfolio and the strategic growth within TT&S and ensuring performance of the Services Business including financial, regulatory, customer and employee satisfaction. In addition, the position requires you to remain flexible in order to act in a variety of business roles including but not limited to Capture Lead, Consultant, Bid Manager, Service Operations Manager and Business Improvement Manager and to lead the coordination of the Services Business opportunities across the TTS Service portfolio.
In addition, you will assume the role of CAA appointed Accountable Manager for the Voyager ATO, taking full legal accountability for Aviation Safety related to the training delivered by Thales and its suppliers under the approvals. The Head of Services will also assume the role of Managing Director for ATSL a Joint Venture with Airbus for the delivery of the A400M Training Service.
About You
You will

• Be a Business Development or Business Delivery professional who has experience in the services industry.
• Be safety aware and be able to accept and enforce safety procedures into the Workplace
• An effective team player who can interface at all levels within the organisation and who can operate successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
• Knowledge and experience of UK MOD acquisition strategy and processes.
• Proven stakeholder management of customers both external and internal to deliver customer satisfaction.
• Strong commercial and business awareness.
