About This Position An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bury College as a Site Assistant. We are looking for individuals who want to be part of a team and can assist in providing a high quality and responsive estates service across the College. We are looking for candidates who: Have a proactive approach to maintenance and a can-do attitude Have good problem-solving skills Possess good general DIY skills and take pride in their work Has great communication and interpersonal skills Has a flexible approach to working Are able to undertake painting, decorating and minor refurbishment work Are able to, whilst working with the wider Estates team, undertake key-holding, maintenance, repair and porterage duties Have the ability to promote a safe, secure and pleasant environment by undertaking and adhering to risk assessments, safe systems of work and College policy and procedure Can ensure that the campus is safe and accessible to all learners and staff Are able to act as a point of contact for staff, students, external contractors and visitors As an ideal candidate, you will hold an NVQ level 2 qualification or have good experience in a relevant trade and have good general DIY skills with an enthusiastic and proactive approach to your work.
