The Recruitment Group is proud to be working with a fantastic Construction company, we are looking for a Site manager and you'll be reporting into a contracts manger and be based full time on site.
Main duties and responsibilities of an Site Manager:
. You will be the senior representative on site for the projects that you will lead.
. You will manage projects that include refurbishment of historic buildings and new build projects.
. You will be responsible for all phases of construction projects from site set up to completion, including close out of snags.
. You will be client facing and you will be able to develop and maintain good working relationships and communicate clearly with clients, our staff, sub-contractors, and design teams on a daily basis.
. You will be able to read and understand construction drawings and explain these clearly to others so that they can carry out the work.
. You will understand the key parts of a project and intuitively check the quality of work and rectify quickly any issues.
. The variety of high quality projects, a collaborative work ethic, and established relationships with all stakeholders make this a very rewarding role.
Experience/knowledge requirements for an Site Manager:
. Experienced in managing both new build and refurbishment sites.
. Trade background with accompanying qualifications
. SMSTS accreditation or equivalent ideally with first aid training
. Takes pride in their work and is able to deliver projects to the standards set.
. Self-motivated, forward thinking and punctual.
. Will identify potential construction issues in advance and develop a plan to deal with these.
. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues, clients and consultants.
. Will discuss Construction issues and potential solutions with appropriate B&L staff in advance of implementation
. Basic IT skills are desirable.
. Works well in a team and is enjoys a site based working environment.
