Due to an internal promotion we are now looking to recruit a
Field Service Coordinator SLS West Europe.
The preferred location for the position is in Fareham, UK.
What you will be doing
The FS coordinator reports to the SLS Field Service (FS) manager as part of a team of x5 office staff in our Team 1. The position primary function is to coordinate jobs for the x12-15 FS engineers in 4 countries covering mostly Western Europe (but occasionally globally if required) within our Shaft Line Systems structure Wärtsilä shaft line solutions (wartsila.com) .
As an end-to-end business, the coordinator will be responsible for taking the job booking and organising the attendance of FS Engineers and upon completion of the job, the coordinator will gather all the costs and invoice the customer.
The main duties and responsibilities of this position are:
- The co-ordination of work from 'engineer request' and throughout the resulting job / work orders.
- Creating job packs for Field Service Engineers.
- Creating service orders on Salesforce & SAP.
- Ensuring 'planning board' is updated with live current data.
- Ensuring all information regarding dockings / jobs are received and filed correctly.
- Credits & Debits processes.
- Invoicing & billing.
- Managing weekly timesheets from FSE's & wages to ensure internal finance & payroll teams have correct information on time for salary payment deadlines.
- Managing CAT 2 Field Service engineering hours updated information to various internal reporting tools.
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their experience and ability to:
- Follow jobs / work orders from start to finish.
- Recognise and push sales opportunities to Account Managers where possible.
- Assist the Global Field Service / Sales Support / Sales managers where possible.
- Be comfortable in arranging bonding jig loans to customers / other Wartsila network companies and approved partners as required.
- Ensuring Field Service equipment cupboard is fulfilled/updated.
- Have a logical and ordered approach to FS tools management, ensuring equipment calibration is up to date ensuring Quality processes are adhered to.
- The flexibility to assist FS engineers as required.
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
