Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of Child Protection concerns, ensuring the safety and welfare of children.
- Develop and implement effective care plans in collaboration with families, caregivers, and external agencies.
- Provide ongoing support and intervention to children and families at risk of harm, promoting positive outcomes.
- Participate in Child Protection case conferences and meetings, advocating for the rights and best interests of children.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and support for children and families.
- Engage in regular supervision and training to enhance professional development and practice.
- Uphold the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
- Proven experience in Child Protection social work, preferably within a local authority setting.
- Strong assessment, intervention, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative abilities.
- Commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of children.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases.
