Functional area: Operations & Maintenance
Sofia will be one of the largest offshore wind farms in the world as well as one of the farthest from shore. Technically it will be a major engineering feat, drawing on long-term offshore wind heritage and on our suppliers’ technological expertise. It will implement many of the innovations and advances made by the offshore wind sector as it has grown in size and sophistication over the past few years.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with all Operations and Maintenance functions to plan and prioritise maintenance and operational activities. Communication with these stakeholders is key, to maximise production whilst ensuring statutory compliance
Develop and implement site specific Operational Procedures for offshore access, communications between onshore and offshore teams to ensure efficient operation and compliance with legislation and company policy. Work closely with the Production, Maintenance and Planning teams, to ensure site activities are effectively planned, prioritised and implemented to maximise generation and minimise operating costs
Capturing maintenance and breakdown history from SAP, and produce daily, weekly & monthly performance reports and maintain effective communication with Production and Engineering teams to improve proactive maintenance planning
Ensure that all Safety Rules and statutory legislation is adhered to and applied to plant operation and maintenance
Contribute to a positive safety culture onsite through timely reporting of incidents
Ensure all plant maintenance records are completed daily to the required standard and stored digitally and centrally through the SAP system
Participate in on and offshore maintenance activity mobilisation and demobilisation where required, including stock and parts movement through SAP
Responsibly for shift team consisting of technicians and other disciplines associated with O&M activities
Key Qualifications
Must have SGRE Large Direct Drive or G4 self perform and workflow lean experience
Strong coordination and leadership skills, highly motivated, confident and resourceful.
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively within a team
The capability to work within a team, to lead a local team of resources, and to manage competing demands from the project
An excellent understanding of offshore operational practices
Proven track record managing operational and/or vessel operations on Offshore Wind Farms
A higher education qualification or expertise working within the offshore wind industry
High level safety qualifications such as NEBOSH would be an advantage
