We're seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist Business Analyst to join our Regulatory Operations (Operations, Payments, Treasury, Issuer Services, Markets) team. This role is located in Manchester, UK with a hybrid work model.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Bridges the gap between data, business requirements, regulatory requirements, and systems to ensure timely regulatory reporting. Responsible for ongoing business operational compliance with regulations across multiple international locations and jurisdictions
  • Participates in and provides guidance on development of the functional design, user documentation and the implementation of plans and programs that help automate the regulatory reporting process and limit control gaps. Is able to consider the wider operating model of any new development or process change
  • Implements the policies, procedures and controls that maintain the accuracy of data being reported.
  • Assists in the development of project scope, objectives, constraints, and assumptions.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and consult internal business groups on requirements and implementation.
  • Responsible for owning and escalating as appropriate risks and issues, and conducting root cause analyses to determine where there are control gaps. Develops solutions to resolve and remediate
  • Provides consultation concerning business implications of application development or regulatory change projects and understands the processes and products within the relevant team and/or systems from which regulatory reports are created. Leads projects in support of new or evolving processes / products which may affect regulatory reports
  • Identifies areas for improvement and works with technology and business teams to improve applications and processes.
  • Preparing reports; reviews accuracy of reports and calculations performed by more junior team members. Prepares ad-hoc reports and delivers results to management and/or other leaders.
  • Executes validation processes for data, including analysis, assessment and monitoring of data quality issues. Participates in and oversees data cleansing/remediation activities.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting, regulatory analysis or financial services preferred
  • A confident and curious approach to work and professional development
  • A mindset of control and governance with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
