Job Description
• Achieve set annual sales and KPI targets set by the Company
• Maintain existing relationships to increase the Company’s sales through specification via competitive
tenders.
• Develop and implement new relationships to increase the Company’s sales through specification via
competitive tenders.
• Develop and implement initiatives to increase the Company’s sales through specification via competitive
tenders.
• Be the sector expert for the business, identifying the most effective route to market.
• Account and project manage large, multi-site project rollouts from cradle to grave i.e. to order placement
• Complete and submit tender responses as required.
• Understand the businesses' products or services in the sectors and be able to advise others about them
• Liaise when needed with Design & Development to provide the outline brief for new product
ranges/special designs for the sectors.
• Work with the Marketing department to create marketing initiatives to support your objectives.
• Engage in direct marketing to create meetings e.g. cold calls/emails.
• Consider and make recommendations for your aspects of the web site and catalogue design.
• Attend relevant trade shows, exhibitions, marketing forums, and trade association meetings and to
actively promote the company at industry events where required.
• Suggest improvements to business processes, and the company’s approach to the sectors.
• Prepare case studies for use on marketing material and digital platforms.
Specification Sales Manager
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
• 3-5 years’ experience in a Lighting Sales role or 5 years’ experience within lighting design or installation
• A track record in selling lighting via competitive tenders, from a cradle to grave approach.
• Evidence of leading and account managing, multi-site project rollouts when needed.
• A demonstrable understanding of the lighting sectors and competition
• The ability to set and achieve high level aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business.
• The capability and credibility to create and manage relationships at all levels.
• Capability to manage our key customers to maintain and grow sales by meeting their individual expectations.
