Sponsorship Sales Manager 12-month FTC

Our client, global membership body, is looking for an experienced Sponsorship Sales Managerto join their growing team.
12-month fixed-term contract, full-time
Location: Hybrid role with a mix of home-working and very occasional working at our client's London offices.
Starting salary: London based candidates: £45,500, based elsewhere in the UK: £42,300 (travel to the London hub would be paid for by the employer in this case) + excellent benefits, including up to 8% employer pension contribution, life assurance plan, private medical insurance, annual leave of 35 days.
The role
The primary objective of this role is to sell promotional opportunities across all client events, while also taking the lead in converting existing, potential, and lapsed clients into Sponsorship Sales. The role involves strategising and proposing a variety of events and webinars that align with the objectives of both the organisation and its clients. This includes identifying potential financial partnership opportunities across various departments, which can then be integrated into comprehensive sponsorship packages for clients.
Candidate profile:
- Strong experience in account management and client growth. Ideally experience of sales within the events and financial sector. Demonstrable experience in researching potential clients that are relevant. Ability to work within a membership organisation and navigate sensitive situations where sponsors are also employers of the organisation’s members. Proven sales experience on reaching and exceeding financial targets of £300k per annum. Ability to accurately forecast and report on the financial status of financial partnerships. Experience of and ability to manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to on-site delivery at events. Ability to write compelling sponsorship proposals.
