Stakeholder and Strategy Manager
Salary £75,000 - £82,000 Per Annum (Plus bonus)
Location: Canary Wharf
We are looking for a Stakeholder and Strategy Manager to join a non for profit in Canary Wharf.
As the Stakeholder and Strategy Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the company sets a considered and coherent strategy that allows it to thrive in such an environment, as well as delivery against it. You will manage the relationship with the shareholder, creating an aligned approach across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the annual strategy review to assess if the strategy remains appropriate and propose any adjustments. Ensure the Board strategy direction is reflected in the company’s strategic plan, translating themes into actionable initiatives and projects.
- Deliver the annual business planning process, working across all teams to identify deliverables in line with strategic objectives.
- Create and maintain the master business plan and work closely with Finance, to ensure that the associated resources for each deliverable have been budgeted for.
- Collaborate with the Performance team to develop the company strategic KPIs, providing metrics that are measurable in a transparent and robust manner.
- Develop into a company’s scorecard that is fit for purpose
- Collaborate with the Performance team to manage the quarterly strategy and scorecard reviews, ensuring accurate reporting of progress against the business plan. Support and guide senior management’s decision-making process, facilitate informed discussions, and develop structured action plans.
- Bring the vision, mission and other strategic artefacts to life for staff through multi-channel communication.
- Conduct continuous improvement of the annual strategy and business planning processes.
- Undertake and proactively develop the shareholder engagement, communication and programme management activities such as quarterly shareholder meetings.
- Consider impacts of strategy on the shareholder Framework Agreements to ensure operation in a fully compliant fashion in accordance with them.
- Coordinate processes to ensure adequate funding for all aspects of the business. This includes leading the three year Operational Cost Levy process, as well as principle letters, grant funding or capital expenditure for any new schemes/opportunities.
- Lead delivery of the annual reports, managing interactions across the company including with the Board.
- Management of a small team to support delivery of the above including recruitment and team development.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience applying a variety of frameworks appropriate to context and executing strategy.
- Highly developed personal influencing and communication skills to secure senior buy-in and work collaboratively across a business to ensure delivery.
- Able to establish and maintain strong professional relationships
- Analytically minded with strong problem solving skills.
- Able to innovate, generate and prioritise new ideas and support others to do the same.
- Previous line management responsibility with ability to motivate and mentor others.
- Degree in Business Administration/Management, Prince2 or other relevant qualifications desirable.
- Experience of working in the energy sector and/or government environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
