Do you thrive in a high-pressure environment? Are you a team player with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join the team as a Data Administrator.
What you'll do
As the Streetworks Data Administrator, you will be responsible for the assessment and administration of both planned and urgent requests for engineering and main-laying permits, national condition text, and complex traffic management requests (multi-way and road closures).
You will provide advice and guidance to all departments to ensure compliance and accuracy to avoid fixed penalty notices and reduce costs where possible.
As part of this role, you will liaise closely with the highway authority, dealing with permit modification requests, authority-imposed variations, and permit refusals and grants, as well as providing and receiving updates throughout the works.
You will also produce and distribute various reports to all departments to ensure permits are managed in line with legislative requirements. This will include identifying and reporting on permit infringements to help shape new business processes and highlight areas for improvement.
You will be required to cover other areas where required. You will work from Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 5pm at our office in Blandford, with the option to work remotely some days of the week.
What you'll need
We are looking for a team player who is able to multi-task within a high-pressure environment and manage a high volume of work, ensuring strict deadlines are met.
You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be confident conveying and interpreting legislation into easy-to-understand language.
In addition, it would be desirable for you to have knowledge or some understanding of Streetworks legislation and experience in a planning-type role within the utility sector.
