- THE ROLE -
The Student Academic Affairs Team is a new Department based in the Centre for Quality Enhancement within the Learning Enhancement Directorate. The team will be responsible for Policies, Procedures, Processes and Practices for two key areas across the University:
1. Early Resolution and Case Handling
Provide procedural advice, guidance, and support with student complaints, appeals academic misconduct and student conduct. This area ensures student cases are handled appropriately and fairly at all stages of the process.
2. Student Investigations
Oversee and undertake investigations into Disciplinary, Complaints and Appeals. The area of Student Investigations ensures that there is an adequate pool of trained Formal Investigators across the University to ensure the provision of an efficient, timely and effective service to meet the needs of the Students and the wider University.
- ABOUT YOU -
- A Degree, or equivalent qualification.
- Substantial administrative experience in an educational setting, preferably Higher Education or the ability to demonstrate adapting to new working environments.
- Experience of investigating, fact finding and making evidence-based decisions to ensure that outcomes are measured and proportionate, ensuring remedies are actioned to minimise further issues, concerns or complaint escalation.
