Your next role
Swindon Borough Council provides Supported Housing to 117 households across six different schemes across the borough. We are looking for a new member of our team to ensure that we continue to deliver the best possible standard of cleanliness and hygiene in our empty properties, communal areas, and gardens.
You will have experience in a cleaning role preferably in a commercial environment. You will be familiar with Health and Safety legislation and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations. This post will involve periods of physical exertion/movement, and will be required to carry heavy equipment at times. Applicants need to be able to use stairs, small step ladders and general cleaning garden equipment.
You will be based at one of our Supported Housing schemes between 8.00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 15:30 Friday.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
