The role is suitable for a hands on, support engineer who has experience in a professional or educational environment. This role will focus on improving efficiency within my client's site and improving the technical experiences. You will play a crucial role in working with a client base as the escalation point of contact for queries and working with users to resolve these. You will collaborate closely with other members of the Support Team and be responsible for managing cases assigned to you.
This individual must be comfortable working in a Microsoft Server, Exchange, VMware, and educational environments.
Suitable candidates should show some of the following:
- Experience with Exchange, Office 365
- Google/Microsoft workspace
- Experience in Customer Service
- Experience in the Education ICT sector (Required)
- Qualifications such as MCSA or MCITP would be highly beneficial.
- Solid knowledge of AWS, Azure, Microsoft Intune beneficial
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, 7, 8 and 10
- Active Directory - set up and troubleshooting all aspects of AD and its associated services (Group Policy, DNS, DFS, DHCP) across different infrastructures
- Networking: LAN, WAN, VPN, VLANs, Switches, Managed WIFI, Firewalls and Routers
- Knowledge of the Autotask and Datto stack would be advantageous
- DBS Cleared
What you will be doing:
- To provide 1st and 2nd line support
- Working alongside the helpdesk team to resolve support calls.
- To escalate & work with third party suppliers to successfully resolve issues.
- To undertake audits and provide recommendations on the school's IT environment.
- Incident management
- Resolve technical issues.
- Assist other members of the support team.
