Academic Appointments are currently working alongside a successful special school in North Bradford, West Yorkshire to appoint a SEND Teacher, with experience Teaching “upper school”, the ideal candidate will also have experience Teaching pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
The school was graded ‘Good’ in its last Ofsted inspection, with the ‘Personal Development” being rated as ‘Outstanding’
The school caters for pupils aged 3 to 19 years, working alongside outside agencies, supporting a wide range of moderate learning difficulties; severe learning difficulties; complex & multiple needs; Asperger’s; Autism and Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs. Some students have physical, medial, speech & language, visual and hearing or sensory impairments. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate has previous experience of working with Complex Communication Needs and Autism.
Requirements:
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- 2 x references from educational establishments
- Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to obtain one)
- A passion for success and quality teaching
- SEN Experience
