We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Team Leader, Reconciliations to join our Pershing EMEA team. Pershing provides a broad range of financial business solutions to investment banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, financial planners and advisers across EMEA. We provide sophisticated front-end technology and flexible middle office capabilities with execution, settlement and custody services. These are supported by a robust regulatory and compliance framework with dedicated client asset experience and expertise. This role is located in Liverpool and is hybrid.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- This role is responsible for the supervising of a small team of individuals performing cash, stock and fund reconciliations and supporting our Client Free Money Process.
- The role requires strong people management skills, ensuring staff are motivated, engaged, developed and cross trained across the department.
- The role should ensure all tasks and duties that fall within the team’s responsibility are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Escalation and management of any material issues.
- The role owner will be asked to improve management and oversight across the team’s responsibilities, helping improve the operating model.
- Supports the Senior Manager to met departmental goals in line with the target operating model.
- Develops processes to improve efficiency and control whilst meeting regulatory obligations and standards. Identifies and implements process improvements to improve the experience for all stakeholders
- Works closely with Offshore Supervisor to driving excellent performance.
- Maintain departmental control models, produce MI and monitor KRIs to ensure they are up to date and reflective of processes to ensure regulatory breaches are minimised.
- Assist Senior VP in audit, compliance and other regulatory reviews and inspections.Co-ordinate testing and ensure test scripts are up to date and reflective of live process, plus support of software releases
- Experience of Reconciliations Process ideally within TLM and strong excel skills.
- Any other duties as required
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Experience of supervising a small team
- Strong operational experience in a related financial services.
- Strong systems skills/ability to define MI/ manipulate data (ideally intermediate+ Excel)
- Desirable - Demonstrate understanding of FCA, CASS and CBI CAR rules
