Social Worker - CLA Team Manager
**Location:** Middleborough
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Worker to join our team in the role of Children Look After Team Manager. The successful candidate will lead a team of dedicated social workers, overseeing the delivery of comprehensive care and support to children in the care system. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of child protection procedures, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable children.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to a team of social workers responsible for children in care.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, health professionals, and schools, to coordinate services and support for children and their families.
- Provide guidance and support to social workers in managing complex cases, including those involving child protection concerns, court proceedings, and placement transitions.
- Monitor the progress and outcomes of children in care, advocating for their needs and rights within the care system.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in child protection and social work practice.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Substantial post-qualification experience in children's social work, including experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage risk effectively and make evidence-based recommendations.
