Job Title:Team Manager
Location: Dudley
Salary: £18,000 per annum (increasing to £18,363 after 6 months)
Hours:Between 8.00 am – 6.00 pm (adhoc weekend work and evenings required up to 11.00pm)
Contract: Permanent, Part-time (24 hours per week)
Black Country Living Museum is seeking a Team Manager who can lead, manage, and inspire our team of Historic Characters to deliver an unforgettable visitor experience. We’re looking for someone with robust people-management skills and exceptional customer service who can bring out the best in our talented team.
What are the duties?
- Leading, planning, and managing the daily work and activity for our costumed staff, known as Historic Characters.
- Ensuring the team is appropriately staffed, supported, and trained to support the program of school groups, visitors, and evening events.
- Offering creative solutions in response to the Museum’s changing program for general visitors, formal learning groups, and special events, ensuring the visitor experience is not compromised.
- Supporting the Museum’s Duty Managers with the day-to-day management of our site and general visitor welfare.
- Handling staff queries and performance concerns.
- Inclusively working alongside the Programming and Events team to create and deliver exciting programs for day-to-day operations and events.
- Liaising with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure a safe working environment.
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrable people and rota management experience.
- Confident organisational and IT skills.
- Inclusive customer service skills.
- Proven experience using online rota managing systems.
