Job Details
As a progressive employer, we offer the opportunity to work in this role as a ‘blended working’ arrangement with home-working opportunities and office-working as required. While much of the role can and will be carried out remotely, candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required.
This is an exciting opportunity to assist in the delivery of the Fife Tourism Strategy under the Welcome to Fife brand.
You will assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and projects to develop and promote Fife as a visitor destination.
You will provide support to the Lead Officer for Tourism, maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external partners and assisting with the co-ordination of all tourism related activities across the Council.
You will be responsible for monitoring, reporting and evaluating performance in the tourism sector.
You will lead on projects related to tourism policy, including the tourism team's work around sustainability.
You will also be responsible for providing effective communication to the local tourism industry, and provide information, webinars and other opportunities to help businesses address issues in the industry.
The Person
You will be educated to SCQF level 8, which includes HND or SVQ level 4 or equivalent. You will have have experience in a tourism policy related environment and have knowledge of Fife's tourism industry and the specific needs of businesses. Experience in performance monitoring, tourism data analysis and preparing reports is essential, along with strong communication skills to inform and influence industry.
