The Digital Team is part of the broader ICT & Digital Team which has responsibility for several of the Council’s key systems as well as core ICT services and the Council’s website and digital presence.
About the Role
If you are interested in a career in digital design and development, we are looking for an apprentice to join our busy Digital Team to help support, develop and deliver the Council’s digital strategy. This includes e-forms, portals, system integrations and digitisation of business and customer processes.
The importance of our digital presence through our website and associated portals continues to grow. More and more residents choose to find information, access Council services and make payments using digital channels. We have some exciting future projects and our ambition is to continue the customer journey work that we have started; putting our residents digital experience at the centre of our service redesign.

This is a Fixed term contract for 2 years whilst studying towards a level 3 qualification.

Candidate Profile
You will be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills. As our apprentice, you will be supervised and developed to assist in the marketing and communication of information to our clients, residents, colleagues and stakeholders. This apprenticeship will give the candidate an opportunity to learn the key functions of the service.
This opportunity will ideally suit you if you are keen to combine learning with working. The ideal candidate will aspire to deliver good quality services to the residents of our Borough. We are looking for applicants who are eager to learn and want to make a difference in their community.
5 GCSEs at A-C/4-9 level including ICT, English and Maths (or equivalent) are Essential. 2 A levels (or equivalent) are Desirable.
