An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Transport Coordinator, as a Job Share – working part time 11.5 hours across Thursdays and Fridays. This role is advertised on a permanent contract.
Applications are invited from staff with administrative/fleet experience for an excellent opportunity within the Award-winning Transport Services Department, based at Quarry Wood in Aylesford.
This role requires the successful candidate to provide a professional and effective transport coordination service to the department ensuring efficiency across the business, assisting in the administration and coordination of the vehicle fleet and Telematics, providing a central point of contact for advice and information for Transport Services. Administering fuel card supply, cards, and payments to ensure the fleet is sufficiently supported to deliver operational policing and manage the day-to-day operation of the Force Lease vehicles to ensure the efficient running of the schemes.
You will work closely in support of the Fleet Manager and Fleet Coordinator and will be qualified to at least GCSE standard or equivalent including Mathematics and English.
Previous customer service experience with excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently liaise with all members of the organisation, external customers and partnership agencies is essential. You will respond promptly and effectively to requests for assistance from our customers, ensuring that accurate records are kept, and standards of service are maintained. Therefore, the ability to pay considerable attention to detail and accuracy are key skills.
You must have the ability and enthusiasm to learn new systems such as Tranman and related fleet management databases and have experience using various IT programmes/Microsoft Office including Excel. Transport Fleet Management knowledge and experience is desirable (and ideally gained through a fleet management qualification).
There may be an occasional requirement to travel between locations or transport vehicles, therefore a full driving license is required.
Good organisational skills, personal motivation, and the ability to prioritize your own workload are highly desirable.
