Role Profile
Reporting to the Planning Manager, as one of three UK Planners you will be responsible for preparing daily and weekly production schedules across two UK production sites. Working closely with all Operational departments you will keep abreast of orders and amends, raw material availability, production progress and transport to ultimately deliver on time in full to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily and weekly production schedules, optimise production runs in relation to changeovers, waste, labour and raw material. Ensure close dialog with all production teams around changes and performance data
- Download reports to validate our current position, re-planning and issuing to the factory
- Work closely with Customer Services to advise best solutions on out of lead time orders and customer amendments
- Generate weekly stock out reports and issue to the business
- Create and update weekly labour and capacity plans, presenting weekly to management teams
- Work with our chosen haulage partners to plan transport and deliver to our customers on time in full
- Download reports to validate material position, raise requisitions and place orders with suppliers to ensure optimum stock holding
- Deal with availability issues that might impact on schedule and identify options and solutions
- Provide daily and weekly KPI data, identifying areas of deviation.
What you will bring to Dairygold
· Production planning experience within a FMCG environment, and some understanding of materials and transport planning
· Excellent attention to detail & ability to work with data to consider all variables in producing production and raw material plans
· Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge and be able to confidently communicate, articulate and present information
· Experience with Oracle and OBIEE would be advantageous.
· Good organisational skills and tenacity to ensure you meet tight deadlines
· Personable and confident with ability to build positive relationships across sites
